Chaplin Street Studio

I had the most amazing experience on Sunday!  I shot my first in-studio photoshoot and it was a great one!  Thanks to all of my models who came out (Akosua, Andong, Diane, Malari, Papa Dame, Soukena, et al). Special shout outs to my assistant and lighting specialists Amir Abdullah and Coumba Gueye.  Much love and […]

Rara Tou Limen

I just uploaded some pictures from a photo job I did in California in October 2011.  The job was for a Haitian Folkloric dance company called Rara Tou Limen (Rara or RTL for short).  Rara was Established in 2004 by Artistic Director Portsha Jefferson. The Company has continually offered Bay Area residents, as well as people […]

Music

As if I don’t do enough in a day, I’ve created some music mixes.  This music was used originally used to warm up classes that I might teach, but it became very addictive playing the music that I want to listen to when I wanted to listen to it. Feel free to download and use […]

Ayiti Chronichles – The next phase

I’ve been back in the States now for over a month. Lucky me. Since I’ve been back, I’ve trying to deal with what I saw and experienced in Haiti. I’ve got a quick list of items that I will be focusing on during the next couple of months: 1. Haiti is NOTHING like they say […]

Ayiti Chronichles – Bring de DRUMS!

It’s about 6:10am on Wednesday.  Everyone from the Edeyo crew is still sleep.  yesterday was off the chain!  One the first day that I taught dance class, we had no music due to the fact that the building in which the children have classes in, had to current (electricity).  Yesterday, I was ready for them […]

Ayiti Chronicles – Arrival

We arrived around 1:30pm yesterday.  I’ll be honest in saying that it feels really great to be out of the cold weather in the States and into this 90+ degree weather down here!  After almost freezing to death waiting in the walkway leading to the plane at JFK, walking into this heat (and doing the […]

Moving On

2010 has been a challenging year. I’m glad it’s over. Time to get it going for 2011. I’m trying to go back to school, get the finances together, and make things happen in my community! RIP to Dr. Johnson and my Big Brother Ruskin McEwen. I love and miss you both.

Words alone cannot do this image any real justice.  For those who know, this is where I’m at right now artistically. Stay tuned. SOFTWARE: Poser2012, Adobe Photoshop 5
